Abstract

During major abdominal and gynae cological surgeries, perioperative fluid administration is done to ensure optimal oxygen supply andtissue perfusion. Concentratedurine is produced in restricted fluidtherapy to decreaseavail ability of water.
Kidneys create and maintain osmoticgradient by which kidneys become increasingly concentrated from the cortextothemedulla.Restrictive fluid the rapyinabdominal surgery patientsis associated with rapid return of bowel function, fewer complication sand short erhospital stay.
