Background: Surgical site infections (SSIs) account for 20% of healthcare-associated

prophylaxis is established for SSI prevention, real-world adherence to guidelines remains
inconsistent. This study evaluated antibiotic prophylaxis practices and their association with
SSI rates in abdominal surgeries.
