Abstract

Eosinophils are granulocytes central to anti-parasitic defence and allergic inflammation, and their absolute count (AEC) is a widely available, low-cost haematological index. ABO and Rh blood group antigens are increasingly recognised as modifiers of immune and inflammatory phenotypes, but no published data describe the relationship between AEC and ABO/Rh blood group in young adults of Northeast India, a  region with a distinct environmental and parasitic exposure profile
