Abstract

Introduction: Gallbladder diseases, particularly cholelithiasis and cholecystitis, are common indications for surgery. Although laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the standard treatment, open cholecystectomy remains important in complicated cases, difficult anatomy, and resourcelimited settings. This study evaluated the spectrum and frequency of complications following  open cholecystectomy in a tertiary care hospital in Northeast India
